the story
“I want to ride a bike across the country.”

When Skyler Kern told his friends about his goal, they laughed in his face. He couldn’t help but laugh a little himself. Riding through the centuries
I have never seen so many friggin hills in my life.  Yeesh.  We rode 100+ miles today (also known as a "century"), automatically inviting ourselves into the centurion club.

Skyler

Age: 19, Hometown: Leesburg, FL, Major: Philosophy
Skyler Kern is out to prove that adventures still exist. In the search to do something epic, he came up with the idea of biking across America.

What's an interesting fact about you?
Towering over my parents, I am the tallest person in my family. I am 5'5.

What do you expect the greatest challenge to be?
I hear I may be destroyed by an 18-wheeler while riding through Texas.

Who is a personal hero of yours?
My grandfather. He took nothing and made it into something. The world claims that's not possible.

What is your biggest fear?
Taking advantage of what I've been given.
